The new sets are based on the upcoming new series of the animated NINJAGO TV show as opposed to the recent movie. Enough said.The new range of 2018 LEGO® NINJAGO Masters of Spinjitzu sets are now available. And also: just look at that bridge! We simply do not get enough bridges in LEGO sets. It recreates a Japanese temple in stunning detail, a form of architecture we love but rarely see in LEGO. Now discontinued for over four years, there’s still a lot to love about 2015’s Temple of Airjitsu. Not only is this one of the biggest LEGO Ninjago sets ever made, it’s also one of the most beautiful. Release date: September 2015 to March 2017.This one has pride of place in the That Brick Site office – newer sets might have come along side, but this one isn’t moving from its shelf. And the double dragon heads really finish it off – as do the fabric printed sails. It’s a huge, solid ship, packed with beautiful Asian decoration. There have been multiple incarnations of the Destiny’s Bounty over the years, but this one remains our favourite. Release date: August 2017 to September 2019.And at 3,553 pieces, it’s still not to be sniffed at. We love the use of blue tiles to create the effect of crystal-clear water. This one isn’t quite as big or as tall, but it packs in a lot of beautiful detail all the same. Ninjago City Docks is another set from The Ninjago Movie, released as a companion piece to Ninjago City. Release date: August 2018 to November 2019.It’s also the first set that truly positioned Ninjago as a theme also suitable for adults. Sadly, it’s now retired (as have the rest of the sets on this list), but Ninjago City remains one of our favourite sets of all time. But that’s close enough, and still falls under the Ninjago umbrella.

And 22 minifigures! This is a cityscape builder’s dream, without a doubt. Designed to accompany Ninjago City and Ninjago City Docks (which you’ll find also on this list), Ninjago City Gardens is a tall, colourful beast packed with so much detail. The newest LEGO Ninjago set on this list is also the biggest – by far.
